Challenges in Long-Term Senior Care Facilities

Long-term care facilities face major challenges related to staffing shortages, employee burnout, and limited family involvement. Chronic understaffing increases workloads and emotional stress for caregivers, leading to high turnover and reduced continuity of care. This lack of stable staffing weakens relationships between staff and residents and lowers seniors’ quality of life.
